Job Description

Smith is currently looking for experienced sales manager to join our Japan office. As one of the world’s leading independent electronics distributors, the successful applicants will play a significant role in Smith’s market leading expertise on global electronics sourcing, logistics and distribution.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Aggressively researching, cold calling and developing key OEM / EMS accounts in Asia
  • Maintain and solidify business relationships with current domestic and international customers
  • Initiate and implement supply chain programs to customers
  • Negotiate pricings, set margins, stock forecasting
  • Manage customer’s inventory, create proposals & contracts
  • Manage a small sales team with constant growth targets

Required Skills


  • University or college degree holder
  • At least 7+ years sales experience in the electronics industry with a proven successful track record
  • Strong customer base of local (Japan) OEM customer is a plus
  • Good command of written and spoke English
  • Excellent leadership and supervisory skills in influencing and empowering colleagues to achieve team results
  • Persistent, result-driven, and self-motivated with strong negotiating and problem-solving skills
