  • Lead and oversee all aspects of M&A transactions, including deal structuring, negotiation, due diligence, and documentation.
  • Provide strategic advice and guidance to clients on complex M&A matters, including identifying risks, opportunities, and potential alternative structures.
  • Cultivate and maintain client relationships, actively participating in business development efforts to generate new M&A opportunities.
  • Manage and mentor junior attorneys, providing guidance and fostering their professional development.
  • Stay updated on market trends, regulatory developments, and best practices in M&A, and apply that knowledge to deliver exceptional client service and drive successful outcomes.

Required skills

  • At least 10+ years of experience in M&A practice, including significant experience at a reputable law firm. Common Law or Japanese qualifications welcome.
  • Proven track record of leading and successfully closing complex M&A transactions across various industries.
  • Strong client management skills, including experience in developing and nurturing long-term client relationships.

Preferred skills

  • Exceptional legal knowledge and expertise in M&A laws, regulations, and industry best practices.
  • Outstanding negotiation and deal structuring skills to achieve favorable outcomes for clients.
