Appier is looking for a full-time English <> Japanese Translator who is detail-oriented, willing to learn about how products work, and able to deliver accurate and reader-friendly translations.

Task of the Role

• Translate instruction manuals, how-to guides, FAQs, and illustrations from English to Japanese.
• Translate English wordings on user interface to Japanese.
• Learn about how products work by proactively asking colleagues for clarification and by operating the products with a hands-on approach.
• Communicate with Japanese colleagues to understand client needs and improve translation quality

Essential:

• Native-level proficiency in Japanese
• Excellent oral and written communications in English. Ability to understand complex subjects written in English.
• Over 2 years of experience in translating English < > Japanese
• Fast learner who is detail-oriented and armed with a strong sense of responsibility to complete assigned tasks. 
• Willing to proactively communicate to ensure translation quality.
• Good interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with colleagues from diverse backgrounds

Nice to Have

• Experience in translating technical content 
• Experience in localization project management 
• Knowledge in digital advertising
