Job Description

Job Purpose

AVEVA Net(Web based information dashboard) Senior Solution engineer is responsible for working as part of a team that delivers and supports software implementations, which meet our customer’s requirements using AVEVA Net.
Senior Solution engineer is engaged in the implementation from supporting contract signature for accounts manager to the final delivery and customer hand over of the AVEVA Net products. AVEVA Net is one of our AIM (AVEVA Information Management) products.
AIM is the core solution for executing our digital twin strategy aligned with DX initiative in Owner Operator such as O&G, Chemical, Power Utility, F&B, Pharmaceutical industries and EPC company’s strategy to expansion their business with DX.

Dimensions

This particular role is leading our implementations using AVEVA Net - a web based information dashboard, linkage with tag to any work products such as CAD data, documents, whatever) products. This role will be supporting any digital twin projects worldwide if possible or if he/she wish. The position requires the ability to work closely with the customer to collaboratively implement AVEVA Net solution.
The Senior Solution engineer will act as mainly an engineer in service engagements, taking a high level of personal responsibility for achieving a successful engagement but also directing development staff. Regular travel will be expected but work from home also possible if customer accept, as customers and prospects will be in Japan. Consultancy and pre-sales will be predominantly with an evolving new product, but it will also involve existing products already in the market.

Principal Accountabilities

• Best practices for applying AVEVA Net and business processes related to the product
• Works with members of the technical team and other technical engineers to help develop scopes of work and customized engineering services to meet customer requirement.
• Able to understand customer requirement and create RDD (Requirement Definition Document) through communication with customer.
• Product can be delivered within the defined schedule and per customer requirements as defined in the RDD.
• Carry out service engagements with customers, including the implementation of standard and customised solutions, training, requirements gathering & analysis, solution definition and software customization
• Provide product support to customer via proper communication tools
• Assist Sales and Business Development with demonstrations, responding to RFI (Request For Information), and other pre-sales activities
• Provide domain knowledge input to product development, including requirements, technical reviews and testing
• Promptly address and resolve customer complaints or technical issues, with guidance and escalation if necessary
• Provides specialist product training in accordance with AVEVA’s global training procedures both in AVEVA training centres and at customer locations
• Contributes to the delivery of deployment and configuration services to AVEVA’s customers
• Develops technical skills within the primary domain to assist in the growth of the technical team in the region

Important Working Relationships

• The Senior Solution engineer must be able to work closely with the customer from the lead engineer to end user groups in the customer side.
• Implementations can lead by high skill of programming knowledge.
• Close co-operation with overseas resources is a major requirement for this position. Internal communication language with oversea colleague is English.
• The Senior Solution engineer must develop and maintain strong and healthy working relationships with the oversea engineers, including development and consultants in APAC also other areas and AVEVA sales and consultants worldwide.

Required Skills

Knowledge, Skills & Experience Required

The individual will have:
• Strong customer facing skills.
• Proven 2 years or more experience of similar technologies
• Good problem-solving skills
• The ability to manage and handle multiple commitments simultaneously
• Excellent written communication skills, including the ability to produce technical specifications and training material
• Ability to communicate well with customers, managers and AVEVA staff in APAC and worldwide
• Willingness to travel extensively within the region and abroad to perform consultancy tasks
• Prior software customization experience is preferred
• English communication by e-mail (read & write)

In addition, the following will be beneficial and advantageous but not required:

• Knowledge about basic Network, Windows Server, Cloud, DB, Oracle, SQL server etc.
• A basic understanding of programming and familiarity with standard Web applications (eg. RESTAPI, Angular JS, C#)
• Proven experience similar technologies of AVEVA NET. Knowledge and understanding of plant engineering and design processes.
