Responsibilities

We develop quantized neural networks and hardware accelerators to solve power consumption issues that hinder the social implementation of deep learning. To fully utilize and expand our unique hardware, Efficiera, our research and development involve new network designs and neural network quantization technologies. Therefore, software engineers proficient in using deep learning are currently being needed.
In particular, we are looking for talented machine learning engineers who will be engaged in the development of highly practical deep learning models to enable edge AI that operates in industrial sectors where low power devices are required, using Efficiera.

• Development of quantized deep learning models for embedded environments that run efficiently on our accelerator, Efficiera
• Development of high performance and high quality models that meet business and customer requirements in targeted industries
• Creating product specifications, designing, planning development and leading development projects
• Researching, understanding, and sharing the latest technological trends
• You will focus on one of the followings:
  • Object detection
  • Noise reduction for images and/or videos
  • Anomaly detection
  • Other applications

Required Skills

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field, or equivalent knowledge and experience
• Experience in model design, development, and research using deep learning frameworks
• Experience in systems and products design, development, and research using deep learning (2+ years)
• Experience and knowledge in image processing and computer vision
• Experience in project planning, specification, designing, and leading projects using deep learning and machine learning
• Business level communication skill in Japanese or English

Desirable Skills

• Master's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field, or equivalent knowledge and experience
• Experience in developing deep learning models for image processing and computer vision
• Understanding of computer architecture and experience in low-level programming
• Experience in various model compilers and runtimes (TensorRT, TensorFlow Lite, OpenVINO, ONNX Runtime, etc.)
• Experience in optimizing machine learning or deep learning models for embedded devices
• Experience in getting accepted peer-reviewed research papers on machine learning and deep learning
• Experience in machine learning competitions (e.g. Kaggle) and competitive programming (e.g. AtCoder)
• Experience of launching products to market
