Job Description

 

  • Global systems operations, projects and automation solutions support
  • Enterprise platforms for messaging, conferencing & collaboration 
  • Consultant position dedicated to a Major Global Financial Institution
  • Location: Tokyo, Japan (Remote work available only for Japan Residents)

EIRE Systems partners with a major financial institution in Tokyo, providing a team of technical consultants working within the global End User Technologies Group. It's an L3 level role with coverage across the global tech infra environment (100,000+ users), working with geographically distributed colleagues.

We are seeking to hire an experience SysAdmin to work with a team that is dedicated to supporting a wide array of products and platforms for Messaging, Conferencing and Collaboration systems - chat messaging, desktop sharing, video conferencing software and telephony systems, among others.

You'll have an opportunity to perform a mix of production systems support, developing technical solutions for various projects (new installations, migrations, upgrades, automated solutions, etc.).


※ Eligible applicants should be residents of Japan and eligible to work fulltime in Japan.


Technical skills and experience:  

We don't expect that you will be an expert in all of the areas below, but the following offers a guide to the types of skills and experience we're looking for.

  • Windows or Linux System administration - configuration management, entitlement management, software installation
  • Deploying and administering communications and/or messaging technologies (video/phone/email or chat) in an enterprise environment.
  • Familiarity with some of the key platforms - Microsoft Teams, Zoom, Slack, Symphony, Webex, Cisco MCU or email technologies such as Microsoft Exchange, SendMail, Postfix, others.
  • Fundamental understanding of networking concepts. E.g. experience with Wireshark and network infrastructure tools (firewalls, proxies, load balancers)
  • Deploying applications in cloud based infrastructure (Azure/AWS) that connect to existing on premises systems outside the scope of a single vendor.
  • Applying security principles to infrastructure - a combination of detection and resolution of vulnerabilities, conducting application security architecture reviews for newly configured systems
  • Automation skills (or genuine interest to learn these skills), such as scripting / development using PowerShell, Python, .NET or other scripting languages or tools for automating installations, configuration management, etc.

 

Professional Skills (Soft Skills)

  • Advanced, professional level verbal and written communication skills in English - Japanese is not required.
  • Ability and desire to learn new technologies quickly and operate in a face paced environment
  • ​Ability to organize and manage work, including project deadlines within a highly demanding environment.
  • High sense of personal responsibility and integrity.
  • Self-motivated and achievement-oriented with high energy levels.
  • "Team player" mind-set, capable of collaborating effectively with colleagues worldwide
  • Flexible and innovative
