Job Description

Job Summary:

AECOM Japan’s engineers and consultants have helped corporations and financial institutions in managing environmental risks globally, through local resources and full resources of AECOM’s global business and staff. Services include, Environmental Due Diligence (EDD) and Environmental Site Assessments; Contaminated Site Management and Remediation; Geo-Technical Services; Environmental, Health, and Safety Audits; EHS Regulatory Research; Environmental and Social Due Diligence (ESDD). This position may include (but is not limied to) the following responsibilities:

  • Under the supervision of senior consultants, 1) prepare proposals, 2) manage projects, 3) provide technical analysis of issues, and 4) prepare technical reports for the following services
  • Environmental (and Health & Safety) regulation research
  • Environmental (and Health & Safety) compliance review for inindustrial facilities, primarily (but not exclusively) in Japan
  • Environmental due diligence for industrial and commercial transactions
  • Field investigations, including the collection of soil, soil gas, and/or groundwater samples as well as managing site health and safety for subcontractors
  • Enforce ethics and compliance policy including Third Party payment, Sub-consultancy engagement process and Gift and Entertainment policy

Required Skills

Minimum Requirements:

  • 3 to 5 years of experience related to environmental consulting services AND/OR environmental management in commercial and industrial facilities
  • Field investigation experience, as described above
  • Experience with Japanese environmental regulations (especially soil contamination, wastewater)
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Ability to work effectively (independently and with a team) with multiple project deadlines, prioritize projects, and deliver on tight timelines
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office, particularly Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Language (Japanese: native level, English: business level)
  • Soil and groundwater contamination related qualifications/licenses
  • Environmental consulting/management related qualifications/licenses
