Job Title: Business Development Executive/ ビジネス・デベロップメント・エグゼクティブ

Due to an increase in business and continued plans for growth; we are seeking a Business Development Specialist who is comfortable building long term working relationships with highly diverse functions within the customers organisation.

You will be required to secure new business opportunities, develop and execute strategic account plans leveraging input and capabilities from Sales Support Resources, Products and Solutions specialists. Owns and grows business within assigned accounts, increases our share of wallet. Utilises proven selling strategies, sales tools, plays and Steelcase insights to create opportunities within assigned accounts. Drives sales at each account to deliver individual targets and focuses on cross selling.

The main tasks include:

  • Hunt and develop new business opportunities.
  • Develop and execute strategic account plans leveraging input and capabilities from the Sales Support Resources, Products and Solutions Specialists
  • Utilise proven selling strategies, sales tools, and Steelcase insights to create opportunities within assigned accounts.
  • Utilise insights and execute “plays” to differentiate Steelcase and create opportunities within targeted accounts
  • Drive sales at each account to deliver individual targets and focus on cross selling.
  • Lead and own the planning and execution of strategy in collaboration with the Sales Support Teams, Products Specialists and Work Place Consultants
  • Coordinate Account strategies with Dealer Business Managers and the local dealer channels
  • Consistently leverage the use of CRM tool to manage performance and communicate with the team

Required Skills

To succeed in this role, we need someone with the following profile:

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree mandatory, ideally Master in Business Administration.
  • Minimum 3 years of sales experience within international organizations.
  • Professional experience abroad will be valued.

Skills & Abilities

  • Ability to build long-term working relationships with highly diverse functions within the customers’ organisation - purchasing, facility management, general directors, marketing and product experts and other relevant partners and dealers as part of a complex sales approach
  • Strong analytical skills, familiar with statistical and financial data
  • Proficiency and passion to use IT tools such as CRM, Outlook calendar, tablets, smartphones, webinars, living on video applications, virtual meeting tools, business applications
  • Strong oral and written presentation skills,
  • Good listening and interpersonal skills.
  • Good level of organisation and time management.
  • Autonomy, adaptability, commitment and team player qualities will be highly valued.
