Job Description

Main purpose and scope of the job: The incumbent will be responsible to serve as technical specialist to position Scala’s solutions to build a managed service solution.

Role and responsibilities:

  • Create and execute strategies to accelerate the adoption of Scala solutions and drive adoption.
  • Coordinate and perform customer discovery discussions to understand and document business needs.
  • Design and present Scala solutions mapped according to client business and technical needs.
  • Identify client’s needs to provide opinions that might expand the scope of potential client solutions.
  • Develop a deep technical knowledge of Scala, and 3rd party offerings, and a strong understanding of competitive technologies, competitor positioning, counterarguments, and emerging technologies.
  • Conduct regular team trainings on product, positioning and solution selling.
  • Support the Sales Teams as a resource for structured and large-scale opportunities.
  • Support functional and technical elements on RFIs/RFPs.
  • Provide timely updates within tools and systems tracking customers, deal pursuits and progress.
  • Develop trusted relationships, a strong internal network and use influence to drive change.

General Requirements

Minimum Experience Level Over 6 years
Career Level Mid Career
Minimum English Level Business Level (Amount Used: English usage about 50%)
Minimum Japanese Level Fluent
Minimum Education Level Bachelor's Degree
Visa Status Permission to work in Japan required

Required Skills

Core competencies:

  • Minimum of 7 years of technical experience for IT and Managed Service solutions with project management experience.
  • Previous experience is customer management.
  • Problem Handling experience
  • Well verse in Networking, Linux and Windows system.
  • Motivated self-starter, strategic thinker and detail oriented.

Other competencies:

  • Displays a positive work attitude and a strong team player.
  • Possess strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Accurately prepares written business correspondence that is coherent, grammatically correct, effective, and professional.
  • Comply with all policies and procedures.
