Job Description

The Japanese Bilingual Associate Manager will manage a team of Supervisors in the Procure-to-Pay Tower of the deal. Tasks and responsibilities may also include:

  • Reporting to the service delivery leaders
  • Ensuring daily operational performance is at an optimum
  • Ensuring both contractual and operational KPIs are met (responsibility of delivering the service within agreed deadlines and at the required quality)
  • Liaising with the client as the main point-of-contact for the project, and ensuring that each department complies with the latest changes in the procedures
  • Ensuring adherence to procure-to-pay sub-processes including, but not limited to, payments, invoicing, travel and expense, reporting, procurement, etc.
  • Handling, resolving and reducing escalations for all procure-to-pay-related issues raised by the client.
  • Ensuring quick resolutions of these issues and preventing the same issues from arising again
  • Leading client meetings to discussing performance and addressing issues as required
  • Developing initiatives for continuous process improvement for collection-related processes, services and, other deliverables to the client
  • Preparing forecasts and budget for the team including conducting manual invoicing, as needed
  • Reviewing account statuses for credit release, as needed
  • Contacting customers to confirm open items for cash reconciliation, check control, credit reconciliation, residual invoice, as needed

Required Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance or any Business-related courses
  • N1 to N2 JLPT linguistic competence level
  • Excellent communication skills in Japanese and English languages
  • Minimum of 5 years in Finance and Accounting field, preferably with experience in procure-to-pay processes
  • Must have at least 3 years of experience in finance and accounting managerial role/position
  • Must have BPO work experience
  • Proficient in MS Office, SAP, or any accounting-related ERP
  • Strong client-facing skills
  • Positive approach in supporting customer & company needs
  • Must be able to lead a team of managers and supervisors/team leads
  • Goal-oriented individual with strong time and task management
