Best Entrepreneur - CareerCross

Richard Bysouth, a British national and the President & CEO of C.C. Consulting, was recently named by the British Chamber of Commerce in Japan the” Best Entrepreneur” for 2009. This annual award was given to Richard for his having established the highly successful online job board CareerCross. Richard started laying the foundation for CareerCross in the late 1990s, beginning with little experience or abundant capital. He devoted all of his time and attention to ensuring its success, focusing on what was then an underdeveloped Japanese-English bilingual job market. CareerCross has come a long way and today is an indispensable recruitment tool for a wide range of companies in Japan. The judges also pointed out the strong impact that CareerCross has had on bilingual professionals searching for jobs in Japan and elsewhere in the world, and the usefulness of the website as a tool for Japanese-related job searches.
