We will prove that it is the improvement of human development rather
than simple economic growth that is necessary to realize sustainable development.
SDGs Corporation was founded in January 2018 with the aim of achieving harmony between economic and social activities as its name suggests. To make development truly sustainable, it is necessary to set the ultimate goal on the improvement people’s lives rather than economic growth. It is then essential to pay close attention to social infrastructure, our living standards, happiness and satisfaction in this world and environment for the next generation.
This sounds contradictory to economic activities. Considering the historical fact that humankind has flourished through collaboration, however, it is natural for the conventional economic growth model urging excess competition to lead to a dead end; it is imperative for human flourishing to create societies promoting mutual cooperation. We aim to depart from ‘scrambling’ economic activities and pursue ‘sharing’ economic activities, so that we can live actively in a healthy environment and achieve higher economic return in a medium to long term. We will demonstrate that it is the improvement of human development, not the assumption of economic growth, that is required for sustainable development.

Under the industry-academia partnership, we plan, implement, evaluate and follow up a series of activities anchoring UN’s SDGs and Human Development in Kivshovata and beyond. Ultimately, this research aims to demonstrate an ideal balance among economic activities, people’s well-being and environment for truly sustainable development.
