コツを覚える
新入りの船乗りがまずロープの結び方を学んで航海の仕方を学んでいくことから、”learn the ropes”というイディオムは、コツを覚えて一人前になる様子を指します。

Scott: That’s great. I’m sure you’ll master everything and become a star sales person in no time!
（それはいいね。きっと君ならすべてマスターして、すぐにスター営業になれるよ！）
Melissa: I hope so. I’m really looking forward to dive right in and start visiting clients soon.
（だといいな。飛び込んで新規顧客を訪問することを本当に楽しみにしているの。）
Scott: That’s the spirit! I wish you the best and just let me know if need any help with your PC!
