第3回 ”Back to Square One”の意味

“Back to Square One” 「

Example

Bill:  Hey Marty, how are those Sales Reports going for the Kick-Off Meeting on Tuesday?

Marty:  Well, I actually finished them early yesterday,
but suddenly our upper management decided to completely change all the reporting criteria just for this special meeting.

Bill:  Really?  What a bummer!  So, what are you going to do?

Marty:  Unfortunately, it looks like I am back to square one
but at least I still have time to redo everything over the weekend to meet the Monday deadline.

Bill:  That sounds tough – good luck with that!
