I received a resume contact from a company. How can I reply?

You will receive a resume contact notification email from CareerCross whenever a company contacts you. You can read your message in the “Resume Contacts” section of “MyPage” by clicking on the name in the “Contact Email From” column. You can reply to the resume contact by filling in the form at the bottom of the page and clicking “Send”.

How should I decline a resume contact?

If you are not interested in this company, and would like to decline this resume contact, you can send a regular reply politely stating that you are not interested in the position. If you don’t have time to reply, you can quickly decline their offer by pressing the “Decline” button. This will send a short automated message to the company letting them know you are not interested in their contact.

Why don’t I receive any resume contacts?

If your resume is set to “Private”, it will not be displayed in resume search results and companies will not be able to contact you. If your resume is set to “Anonymous” or “Public” but you are still not receiving any resume contacts, please double check your resume. Make sure your resume title is concise and eye-catching and that the rest of your resume is filled out correctly. To see what kind of resumes companies are searching for, you can visit the “Resume Search Trends” on the front page of CareerCross. You can also check the “CareerCross Salary Guide” to see if you are asking for too much or too little money in the “desired salary” section of your resume.

How will I receive responses to my application?

A company may respond to your application by replying via CareerCross or by contacting you directly by email or telephone. Each method is slightly different. For more information, please see "My Page User Guide - Applications".
