You will be providing day-to-day support for new business implementation of separately managed & sub-advised institutional accounts within assigned regions. You will carry out the operational aspects of client agreements and support periodic regulatory reporting / filings in local jurisdictions with limited director supervision. This is a project management function so your tasks will cover a wide range of duties and responsibilities. For example for new product releases you will be presenting this to the company and to clients as well as getting involved with the creation and set up of these news accounts and products.

You will be reporting directly to the Head of Operations in Tokyo. Your role will include many tasks and responsibilities which will include : Oversight responsibility for assigned funds including but not limited to US fixed income monthly distribution funds Communication with distributors for daily subscription / redemption Settlement instruction for daily subscription / redemption Daily pricing Daily monitoring of factor changes Reconciliation of trade ticket vs. broker confirmation Necessary encoding on trade ticket Communication with trustee Bank Proposal of monthly distribution amount Preparation of financial statements

Japan operations has a staff count of around 65 and is projected to grow 10% by 2008. Operations is globally centered in Singapore. Operations supports the business from trade execution to settlements for both clients and for its own accounts. Different groups inside operations include Administration, Operations / Risk control, fixed income middle office, fixed income settlements, reconciliations as well as other businesses also. Your responsibilities within this team will include derivative settlements, sending trade confirmations to clients, reconciliations and pre-match trades system process. ・ Settlements of Japanese listed futures and options. (margin call for onshore/offshore client and daily/initial mark to market settlement for TSE/OSE/TFX/TOCOM) ・ LIFFE, SIMEX, TOCOM Settlements for Proprietary trades ・ Positions maintenance of London client omnibus accounts ・ Reporting to exchanges e.g. Open/Close report ・ Processing queries from London, Singapore office and offshore clients ・ JGB OTC Options settlement for domestic customers. ・ Listed futures/options Open Contract Position reconciliation for TSE/OSE/TFX and I-STAR

Account Associates support the account management (client servicing) activities, which include Providing Account Managers with reporting, data retrieval, and research/analysis support with the objective of leveraging Account Manager resources and enhancing client service. In addition, the Associates’ responsibilities include creating new or revised management reports utilizing internal and external database applications for clients, consultants, and Account Managers. Additional responsibilities include preparing client presentation materials, facilitating the set-up of new client accounts, preparing performance attribution reports and RFP. Assisting Account Managers in marketing and developing the products. Assisting Account Manager in all aspects of client service.
