Resume Contacts

By choosing the privacy setting of “Public” or “Anonymous” you may receive resume contacts (scout mails) from employers conducting resume searches.

You will be notified of new resume contact messages via email, so we recommend you add customer.support@careercross.com to your email safe list to ensure you receive your contact notifications.

When you have unread resume contacts the “Resume Contacts” link in your “My Page” menu will be bold and indicate the number of unread mails that are waiting for you. Also, the “My Page” tab in the top menu will change to bold and indicate the number of unread mails. This is similar to how an email application indicates new unread emails in your inbox.

To read a contact message, click the name of the sender.

CareerCross recommends you check your resume contacts regularly as companies using CareerCross are constantly searching the resume bank and sending contact messages to suitable candidates.

You can reply to a resume contact by filling in the “Respond to Resume Contact” form under the message from the employer. Your reply will be sent via your registered email address to the employer. If you would like your name to remain anonymous check the “Hide my name from employer” radio button.

You may attach your resume in Microsoft Word format when you reply to a resume contact.

If you are not interested in the offer, please click the “Decline” button under the resume contact message. CareerCross will send an automated message to that company stating that you are not interested. This email will NOT be sent from your registered email address.
