CareerCross asks that you be wary of email spoofs and Internet phishing. Both practices concern email where the ’from address’ has been forged to make it appear as if it came from somewhere or someone other than the actual source. These emails usually offer an opportunity to serve as a go-between for money transfers. They can contain a ’from address’ that seems to originate from a CareerCross e-mail address and/or falsely represent CareerCross. They are usually sent out to a general spam list and not from email addresses stored in any CareerCross database. Please be aware that these emails DO NOT come from OR through CareerCross. Disregard the email and DO NOT follow through with the employment offer being made. Should you respond to the email, the respondents may attempt to engage you in illegal activity.
