Bluemetrix are based in Shinjuku and are involved in the provision of website metrics to large companies in the Japanese and European markets. We are the leading provider of such services in Japan, Denmark, Norway, Finland, and the Baltics, and presently in the process of setting up operations in Russia and China.

All of our development work is carried out on Open Source software, primarily FreeBSD and Linux environments. Our languages of choice are C++, Python, PHP and Perl, but they are not limited to these. We focus primarily on measuring raw data (Website data, Internet TV data, Streaming data, Mobile data); storing this data in large DBMS applications that are built and designed in-house; and processing and reporting on this data in a live environment. As a result of dealing with these diverse data streams, we work with most of the leading edge web delivery technologies that are in use today.

We have a position open for a Software Developer/Junior Developer in our Japan office. Ideally the successful candidate would have 2 + years of experience, but it may also suit a graduate applicant with the correct academic background. The successful candidate will have to demonstrate a strong interest and experience of Unix/Linux environments. He/She will be part of a focused development team working with colleagues in our development centers in the US and Ireland, and thus will require the ability to work in an international team environment.
