Job Description
Strategic Leadership:
- Provide a proactive, broad-based, long-term perspective of the portfolio by using the latest information on the customer
- Leverage knowledge of the Customer into new services and opportunities for the UGBU
- Translate the customer’s vision and strategy into clear, actionable objectives and rally support for these from within the organization
Customer Focus:
- Build trusting relationship with customers by demonstrating an understanding of their business
- Collaborate with customers on new business opportunities to meet customer needs
- Increase the customers perception of value
- Consider the impact of business decisions on customers
- Create customer mindset of the business
People Focus:
- Encourage the development of staff, relying on the Consulting Manager for support and assistance
- Responsible for requesting the assignment of people to projects
- Ensures employee interim reviews are conducted during or at the conclusion of assignments
Work Issues:
- Establish, support and promote project delivery 'best practices'
- Focus on the quality of the work that is produced for our customers
- Oversee the ongoing management of all projects within Portfolio in respect of methodology, technology, professional and client satisfaction issues
- Participate in contractual arrangements with customers and other third parties
Management Focus:
- Participate in and contribute to SPL’s strategic and planning effort
- Support sales through personal participation in pre-sales activities, including proposals, presentations and strategy brainstorming sessions
- Identify sales opportunities within existing customers, including 'non-core' activities
- Actively participate and contribute to the Global Practice
- Participate and engage others in project reviews, IV&V's, quality reviews and client satisfaction assessments
- Responsible for the financial well being of the projects within the portfolio, this can be measured by Gross Margins, Utilization, Practice Contribution Margins etc.
- Responsible for accurate forecasting of future management of the project, i.e. resourcing, revenue and expense forecasting etc.
Administration:
- Responsible for the billing of customers
- Responsible for record keeping in respect of project activities
- Participate in the reporting of management information
