Job Description
-Identify, organize and execute on media opportunities to advance the reputation and brand of the company and promote its component businesses/functions
-Coordinate and conduct media activities in conjunction with other Communications disciplines, chiefly but not exclusively, branding, marketing communications and internal communications
-Build and develop strong relationships within the franchise and businesses in pursuit of both media relations and overall Communications objectives
-Manage, develop and deepen existing relationships with primarily domestic, financial and business media
-Support and develop existing relationships with key international media
-Manage and develop media monitoring and media monitoring methodologies in support of the Communications team’s pursuit of the company’s branding/reputation objectives

Required Skills
-A college/university degree or equivalent
-The successful candidate will probably have a minimum of 5years experience of media relations with the domestic financial and business press, and demonstrate working level media relationships
-Demonstrable financial business knowledge/experience, preferably in an investment banking environment of 5 years or more
-Strong ability to understand complex financial products and services, or equivalent in another business discipline
-Professional qualifications (e.g. JASDA Level 2/SEC Series 7) a plus.
-A career track that shows a commitment to professional behaviour with an emphasis on quality
-Outgoing personality and with broad sense of vision in an organization
-Native Japanese speaker, and impeccable writing skills
-Strong spoken English ability and writing skills
