
Specific Responsibilities
Develop comprehensive marketing strategies to grow the revenue of the full line of businesses and brand awareness in line with the objectives of the company.
Build leadership position of the company through managing the products/service life cycle by addressing market needs and planning for in-market launch successes.
Provide strategic inputs to the country’s long and short-term business and marketing plans to offer competitive market solutions, including new business initiatives.
Manage and measure key customer and brand metrics to ensure competitiveness of products and services to customers/consumers;
Manage internal staff (direct & indirect reports) and external agencies to ensure the timely development and implementation of both strategic and tactical marketing campaigns, including public relations;
Oversee the marketing communication needs for Japan by working closely with the Country Head and aligning with the Regional Headquarters;
Manage the total A&P expenses to be within budget while maximising returns to the company;
Lead and develop an effective, efficient and motivated team to achieve desired results.
The Person
Qualifications & Experience
Have a strong business/marketing degree with a minimum of 10years experience in a strategic marketing function, preferably in a multi-product/service organisation.
Have experience in developing and implementing a marketing approach that directly drives increased revenues, margins and life cycle profits through differentiation.
Have a strong track record of achievements and personal contribution in marketing strategies and branding.
Exposure and understanding of sales management will be a plus.
Leadership & Management Behavioural Competencies
Have a strong balance of strategic and business skills, with a high level of intellectual agility and capacity for original thought.
Be an executive with a good understanding for technology such that he/she can articulate marketing strategy in customer-friendly terms.
Knows how to set and manage challenging business metrics and key performance indicators.
Is a team player and comfortable with working across the organisation at all levels.
