Your main responsibilities will include:

Liaising with Clients (regarding all types of valuations queries), Business Management (about processes and issues that require escalation) and the Sales force (to keep them informed of any major developments and ad hoc queries)
Speaking daily with the Trading Desks regarding pricing and working closely with the relevant trading desks to ensure static data is updated regularly
Ensure that client statements go out complete and on time
Escalate issues that arise and ensure timely resolution of problems
Update client statements and reconcile data to the system and clean up the missing prices data and static information
To ensure that the correct price provider is assigned to a security
Speak with client statement reporting team about managing client expectations on valuations issues
Produce MIS and stats on resolution, issues, missing prices, client feedback
Interface with regulators to explain our valuation process when necessary

You must ideally possess some of the following skills/characteristics:

Experience in Operations, Middle Office or Sales Trading (Securities or AM ok)
Highly motivated
Confident and self-assured
Self starter and willing to work unsupervised using you initiative
Excellent client facing skills
Effective and clear communication skills both in Japanese and English
Ability to analyse a situation and resolve problems as they arise
Understand regulatory environment in Japan and be able to interface with regulators
Be able to multi task and prioritise work effectively
Be able to manage expectations and work to deadlines

Leading & well-known Foreign Securities firm who have established this team in Middle Office to deal with client queries regarding their valuation statements and act as a liaison between Sales/Trading and Client Statement Reporting team.
