Eire Systems, a leading IT and Project Management Consulting firm, is looking for a Server specialist to consult on the planning and execution of a server consolidation project for one of our Multinational clients (approx. 1-2 months).

The person should be able to work independently with guidelines from the internal PM. Should be strong in Linux, Perl and ideally Samba, with some Windows server experience (security, AD). Tasks include changing the file systems structure and a lot of client-side internal communications.

Location/Environment:
The candidate will work in the Tokyo region. The Candidate should be comfortable working without constant supervision and be able to identify and prioritize tasks.

Candidates should be based in Japan, available for interview, and be able to start this position quickly.

- Applicants should have strong Linux, Perl and ideally Samba, with some Windows server experience (security, AD).
- Good knowledge of Open Source server and database technologies (Linux, PostgreSQL) a distinct advantage.
- experience in Clustering is a plus.
- Proven ability to communicate effectively from both a business and technical perspective.
- Attention to detail, ability to prioritize and to complete work on schedule essential.
