JOB DESCRIPTION:

Group: Tokyo Exotic middle office / Provisioning & Price Testing
Dept: Product Control (Fixed Income)

Department Outlines: Middle office and Provisioning and Price Testing Group within product control provides comprehensive support to the Front Office Trading desk. In particular it is responsible for providing analysis of new exotic trading activity, supporting the lifecycle of the exotics portfolio and independently verifying the valuations of the products. The group also interacts with all other groups relating to the business area, principally Operations, IT, Risk Management, Model Validation Group and the rest of Finance.

Responsibilities:
 T+0 Support to the Front Office re new trades and processing
 Sourcing and uploading of end of day Market Data
 P&L and Risk processing, consolidation and reporting
 Trade Validation and Structured Transaction Reviews of Exotic Trades
 New deal P&L Analysis, along with review of parameter observability
 To monitor Price Testing result
 Provision Calculations for new trades
 Event Management and MIS reports to FO clients
 Servicing the Front Office and Line Product Control in relation to the above
 Continuously identifying areas that could cause potential risk to the bank and developing solutions to enhance on-going processes and controls.

REQUIRED SKILLS:
- 3+ years of experience in product control at investment bank
- Good appreciation of varied banking products
- Understanding or strong desire to understand Operational risk issues
- Excellent communications skills
- Good understanding of banking systems and their potential constraints
- Ability to work with the trading desk as a “business partner” while maintaining complete independence of the control function
- Team player, strong analytical skills, conscientious, high integrity, pro-active
- Ability to work under pressure
- English and Japanese language fluency preferred
