Our client is a provider of credit research, data, risk management tools and analytical models to the world’s leading financial institutions. The Japan sales organization seeks a Relationship Manager who can engage with credit risk practitioners in major financial institutions and corporations, with the objective of selling their products to clients’ internal credit risk management processes. This is a sales role ideally suited to candidates with a strong institutional sales background and credit/capital markets experience.

Responsibilities:

 Manage sales relationships with our clients research clients in Japan
 Identify sales opportunities geared towards investors and capital markets professionals
 Position growing suite of products to varying customer segments (asset managers, risk analysts and intermediaries)
 Meet sales objectives by delivering product value to accounts under management

Requirements:

 Minimum BA/BS in Business, Economics, Finance or related degree
 At least 5 years of institutional sales or business development experience
 Successful track record in sales and meeting growth objectives
 Experience working in a global financial institution, information provider or software solution vendor (international experience is a plus)
 Broad knowledge of global capital markets with an emphasis on credit risk management and bond investing
 Enthusiastic person with initiative and the ability to work in a team environment
 Excellent communication skills (Japanese/English)
 Understanding of structured finance related products (CDOs, ABS, CMBS, RMBS)
