Job Description
JUNIOR to PARTNER level positions are available.
IP law is rapidly growing worldwide and Tokyo is no exception. International firms based here are increasingly needing experienced IP lawyers to support their growing practices.
PATENT LITIGATION in particular is seeing an increasing demand for experienced and qualified practitioners, working across various industry sectors - from life sciences to high technology.
Lawyers with US Litigation experience are particularly in demand.
Trademark and Copyright experience is highly valued, especially if you have a UK (Commonwealth) or a US admission and experience of working in either US or Commonwealth jurisdictions.

Required Skills
Ideal candidate will have at least 1 to 8 years experiences in a top tier law firm who has qualified in US, UK, Germany, France, Australia or New Zealand or a Bengoshi in Japan.
Our client would be interested in meeting with a candidate who has native level Japanese but who has perhaps qualified in the US.
Preference will be given to candidates who have litigation experience, rather than prosecution experience.
A technical background (eg engineering, science, chemistry etc) would be highly advantageous but not essential
Qualified in US, UK, Australia or New Zealand or a Bengoshi.
Experienced as a patent lawyer, not a patent agent (UK terminology) or patent attorney (US terminology)
