This is a brand new position and is the head position for Japan Finance and Accounting. There are two staff to manage under this role. The role will work closely with the Japan General Manager (Non-Japanese) and we are looking for a candidate to help push the business forward and to offer more indepth accounting and anlysis reporting and advice.

The company is a US listed company. A leader in the sport and leisure industry.

Job Overview

This position is responsible for managing the accounting team and for the complete accounting of the Japan entity concerning the daily business, the month and year end close and the official statutory reports and filing of income taxes.

Specific Accountabilities

- Daily guidance of the finance team.
- Manage and control the complete general ledger of the entity.
- Prepare and maintain the cashflow planning, initiate activities
　 according to this for financial transactions.
- Report the financial ratios for control of the balancesheet,
　obtain the required targets.
- Independent execution of the month and year end close, US Gaap
　adjustments.
- Set up and maintain the financial, management and business
　 reporting.
- Coordinates the process for the operating business plan (Long
　　term planning) and annual business plan (budget), Translation of
　　the company goals in quantitative and financial models. Analyse
　　the company goals.
- Provide the proper control of the company expenses & solutions,
　report variances , analyzes income and expense.
- Set up and maintain administrative procedures according to SOX
　 requirements. (Sarbanes Oxley)
- To identify and initiate systems and methods which improves the
　　planning and control of the whole organisation.
- Participate in several projects.
- Manage Accounting staff

- Experience in planning and control
- At least 2 years of experience as finance manager of similar
　　profit-organisation.
- Experience in leading a team.
- Experienced in Excel.
- Good knowledge of English language
- Strong personality, flexible,
- Knows how to prioritize and feel the sense of urgency
- Good communication and social skills.
- Understands what it means to work for a US stock market company
