Job Description
This position will have two roles:
1) Tokyo Interest Rate Derivative (IRD) Controller Support Tokyo IRD trading desk on all areas with impact to firm’s financials.
Produce reported P/L, provide market and P/L commentaries to senior management
Review reported balance sheet and help the desk to manage Consolidate monthly mark review package, review and discuss with traders on results, methodologies and valuation adjustments
Assist the trading desk on new product set up coordinating with other groups such as valuation risk group, operations, IT, regulatory controllers, market risk department, etc.
2) Involvement in regional adhoc projects around product controllers
Work on various projects within Finance
Required Skills
Qualifications and experience:
Bilingual language skills, both in English and Japanese (written and spoken)
US CPA or equivalent
preferred 2 years plus overall work experience (preference for Fixed Income or Equities product controller experience)
Interest Rate Derivative knowledge - preferred
Strong motivation to learn and understand desk’s business
Strong problem solving skills
Microsoft excel knowledge - end user level visual basic knowledge required
Eye for detail, with an ability to interpret large amounts of data Work and communicate effectively with trading desk, other location team members
