
The successful candidate will operate as part of a team providing consistent support.
The specific tasks includes but is not limited to:
> Administration and management of Windows infrastructure servers such as Domain Controller, DDNS, WINS, DHCP, IIS servers, file and print management
> HP/DELL server hardware maintenance, monitoring, trouble shooting and repair
> NT4/W2K/W2K3 server installation, configuration, problem solving and performance optimization
> Capacity planning, design and implementation of new server requirements
> Implement and rollout global initiatives/projects
> Analyse the customer’s requirement, provide consultancy and solutions
> 2nd level technical support for Customer Service engineers
> Documentation of builds, processes and plans
> Performs tasks in accordance with company policies, procedures, and practices.
Required Skills
Windows 2000/2003 server administration
Windows NT4 server administration
In-depth knowledge of Active Directory/Global Catalogue
Desired Skills:
Able to analyse the customer’s requirement, provide consultancy and propose cost effective solutions.
Ability to write scripts with Perl or VB for Win32 or MS Scripting tools
MSCE certification in Windows 2000 and NT4 are desirable.
The following technical experience would be added advantage:
Experience in Microsoft monitoring tools such as MOM
Experience with Microsoft clustering
Hands-on experience on Exchange 2000
General knowledge of storage technology such as SAN and NAS
Able to work in a highly demanding environment.
Ability to direct and manage Wintel server project.
Hands-on personality with strong determination to learn and grow, able to work well under pressure, time-bound.
Is customer oriented, tolerant, open and positive attitude towards change and teamwork.
Ability to work on own initiative and self-motivated.
Comfortable working in a multicultural environment and is capable of dealing with people at all levels.
