Job Description
A leading European-based public company is seeking a motivated and ambitious CPA to join their Tokyo finance team. This is an ideal opportunity for a finance and accounting professional who is keen to build their career as a Financial Controller in a dynamic, passionate and international environment.
In this role you will be working closely with the firms senior management and will be managing the financial accounting and managerial accounting (financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, business planning etc) side of the business, as well as acting as the key advisor to the business from a financial perspective. You will also be responsible for managing junior accounting staff and will be responsible for various projects to help develop and grow the finance organisation within the company. In this sense it is an opportunity for a finance professional to build their own organisation
The ideal candidate will have a CPA and have 3+ years of experience in general accounting, corporate finance or public accounting

Required Skills
Requirements:
-Good understanding of generally accepted accounting principles as well as IFRS
-Practical experience in collection of accounts receivables
-Experienced in monthly and yearly closing
-Experience of working with outside auditors
-Financial analysis, budgeting and forecasting
-Managing cash flows
-Management and understanding of various financial instruments and financial services.
-CPA preferred
-Motivated, enthusiastic, & keen to learn
-Proactive and able to take initiative
-Fluent Japanese and comfortable to use English in a business environment
