PRIMARY OBJECTIVE

Provide second-level support to all back-office IT equipment such as servers, desktop and laptop PCs, intranet, e-mail and Network equipments and Help-Desk requests. Maintain systems operation and availability in line with the standards and expectations of the business. Manage the Standard Operating Environment for the organisation in line with the business requirements of each department.

SPECIFIC ACCOUNTABILITIES include the following:

·Responsibility for the day to day operation of IT systems in the Japan office.
·Responsible for the management of IT servers including:
·Maintaining system availability
·Capacity management of IT systems to support business requirements
·System backup and disaster recovery management.
·Liaise with global systems administrators to implement and support global IT initiatives.
·Develop/implement Enterprise (Corporate) security procedure/policy
-Server Support.
·LAN, Workstation & Peripheral Support
·Manage software and platform upgrades and changes.
·Provide 2nd level support for hardware and software issues.
·Perform patch management on servers and workstations in line with global patch management process.
·Manage the resolution of issues escalated from first level support engineers..
·Oversee procurement from the local suppliers.
·Diagnose faults and work with providers to resolve.

Change Management
·Perform testing and sign-off of planned system changes.
·Carry out hardware and software upgrades of each system as required, during maintenance window as per instructions from Change Management.

Network Support
·Provide support and administration of Network environment including the network relating to company’s products.
·Liaise with Other region’s Network Engineer in escalation, management and resolution of issue
·Provide solution with root cause of the network problem and do proactive action to prevent from same problem.

Training
·Carry out Technology Transfer to other operations & sales staff
·Develop an understanding of all new features and releases prior to release
·Provide mentoring to junior members of the IT team.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
·Windows based server and system administration experience. Specifically, in depth knowledge and experience in Microsoft Active Directory and Exchange.
·3Cisco Switch/Router/Firewall /VPN administration experience.
·CCNA or CCNP desirable.
·Solid knowledge of Microsoft Windows operating systems, Microsoft Office Suite, VPN, desktop-hardware maintenance and upgrade.
·Experience with a wide range of desktop applications is desirable.
·Business Level English TOEIC 700 or better.
