Job Description

The position will handle customer complaints for all customers in Japan. Communicate the quality problems and customer requirements to our client facilities. The person is required to work out of official working hours to communicate with customers and facilities as required. The role will include frequent travel.

1. Support all Japan quality activities.
2. Act as a bridge between customer and the company in quality matters, such as product quality standard and specifications.
3. Respond to Japan customer complaints
4. Visit customers for quality issues and activities.
5. Obtain quality problem information, photos, and defected samples from customer. Try to examine the evidences and judge if the complaint is valid.
6. Give alert of quality problem to prevent problem spread.
7. Communicate customer quality issues to company facilities and seek corrective and improvement actions report (CAR, 8D) from them.
8. Handle customer requirements such as RoHS report, FAI report, Trade Drawings, Test Data.
9. Handle Engineering Change process in Japan
10. Write up, file quality complaint records. Keep statistics on quality complaint response time.

Required Skills

Qualifications & Skills required:

1. Engineering degree, mechanical preferred
2. Fluent in Japanese and business level English- required
3. 5+ years working experience
4. 3+ years experience in Quality control field
5. ISO internal auditor preferred
6. Driving license required
7. Automotive industry knowledge (OEM/Tiered Supplier specific processes/procedures, customer knowledge, etc.) a benefit.
8. Basic manufacturing knowledge (basic processes, e.g. injection moulding, die casting, metal forming) preferred
9. Quality system knowledge (TS16949 required, Automotive Quality Standards, …)
