Job Description Position Summary:
Based in our Tokyo office, you are in charge of motivating, helping and benchmarking our Certified resellers in Korea, Taiwan, Hong Kong and Singapore. The business development consists in facilitating license agreements and software usage at big Universities, other education and research institutions, and corporate R&D departments across virtually all industries.
The position encompasses information research, negotiation with resellers and, through them, important customers,pricing and policy control, marketing coordination.

Your principal duties:
Increase revenue in your markets by intensive indirect and hi-touch direct sales activity;
Successfully articulate and maximize the impact of our message and offering according to its very various potential uses;
Develop synergies and initiatives;
Trigger and follow up activity closely.

Profile, Knowledge & Skills:
- Proven sales and negotiation skills;
- Enthusiastic, attentive and persuasive;
- Self-starter, flexible and fast-learner;
- Ability to sell technological value to high level experts, in itself as well as in business terms, without being an expert yourself;
- Ability to remain synthetic, when having to handle large amounts of information;
- Ability to think outside the box – further than outside the coercive Japanese professional standards - and convey innovative concepts with success;
- Wish to learn and invest yourself for the long term, in a multi-cultural, diverse and ever-changing environment.


 

Required Skills

- University BA, in a scientific field a plus,
- Excellent command of written and spoken English,
- Excellent communication skills,
- Minimum 3 years selling or marketing high technology products or software internationally,
- Korean or Taiwanese language skills can be a plus,
- Any particular knowledge in the worlds scientific research, mathematical programming, supercomputing, can be a plus but is not a pre-requisite.
