Job Description


* Murex implementation and upgrades
* Murex version upgrades
* New entity, new product and new asset class roll-outs
* Murex integration and development work
* Murex testing and release management
* Murex performance and application tuning
* Murex Application Management
* Functional support
* Technical support
* Environment management
* Report maintenance
* Test and release management
* Service management

General Duties & Responsibilities

  • Business Operating Model analysis and design
  • Understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) model for the development and implementation of Murex including:
  • Analysis of business requirements and translation into functional and technical specifications
  • Design and build of Murex based on the specification documents
  • Implementation and testing of configuration and sign-off
  • Post go-live support following implementation
  • Configuration of Murex should include one or more of the following areas:
  • User defined simulation views design and build
  • End Of Day design and build
  • Reporting analysis and design
  • Functional upgrades, Design, Build and Test
  • Trade Workflow design and build

 

Required Skills

Experience Required

  • Business knowledge to include one or more of the following areas:
  1. Front Office experience including trader support, pricing, risk analysis, deal input, position maintenance, portfolio maintenance
  2. Middle Office experience including, end of day flash P&L, risk limit monitoring, official P&L and risk reporting, regulatory and compliance reporting
  3. Back Office experience including settlements, confirmations, accounting generation and analysis, reconciliations, audit reporting

Experience Preferred

  • Migration of data and information as part of the implementation of Murex and reconciliation to legacy systems
  • Project management experience with implementation of complex trading systems
  • Experience with risk and issues management -and escalation procedures to ensure delivery
  • Effective communication skills across all levels of the business
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet key project deliverables
