Job Description

Responsible for the achievement of customer specific/individual sales targets and revenue by selling Health Sciences electronic products directly and through sales agents so that the Regional/HS sales and revenue targets are met.

Main Activities and Responsibilities (主な業務と責任)
Achievement of Revenue Goals
1. Achieve specific/individual revenue targets of both direct sales and agent sales.
2. Formulate customer focused strategies and sales orientation to meet key account needs in accordance with HS policies
3. Establish and maintain targeted accounts.
4. Generate effective written sales communications and reporting.
HS E-Sales Strategy
1. Contribute to the development of the HS e-sales strategy.
2. Identify potential sales opportunities through detailed local market planning.
3. Gather, monitor and evaluate competitive information and impact on sales goals and account management.
4. Review monthly reports documenting sales results and forecasts for the remainder of year and adjust actions accordingly.
5. Monitor the stability of key accounts, i.e. market share, market image, financial liability, IT infrastructure, etc.
6. Communicate and share best practices with colleagues on commercial/sales matters – share relevant information.
Agent Management
1. Direct, manage and assist Sales Agent in the achievement of all of its goals and objectives.
2. Formulate customer focused agent strategies and sales orientation to meet key account needs in accordance with HS policies
3. Monitor the stability of key accounts, i.e. market share, market image, financial liability, IT infrastructure, etc.
4. Review agents' monthly reports documenting sales results and forecasts for the remainder of year and adjust actions accordingly.
5. Help set and review agent procedures which will assist in the achievement of agent goals.
Account Management and CRM
1. Maintain and complete all relevant account records in CRM
2. Maintain and complete all management forms in a timely fashion. Develop and modify contracts in collaboration with the ECS department.
3. Responsible for operating within expense budget, and providing proper documentation of expenses.
Relationship Management
1. Develop sustainable relationships with all relevant decision makers and influencers at the customers and outside contacts necessary to engage the customer to cross sell and up sell  Health Sciences electronic products.
2. Establish frequent contact with customer by phone, at place of business and industry events.
3. In collaboration with the Product Sales Manager(s), when applicable, identify and/or create opportunities and present to the customer as a compelling solution.
4. Provide customer support and after sales follow-up.
5. Provide market feedback to enhance product development for a more customer-focused product.
Team Management
1. Actively assist Sales Team in the achievement of all of its goals and objectives.
2. Mid - year PDP and annual PDP conversations with Direct reports
3. Make realistic commitments to management and members of the Team and keep those commitments.
4. Atend and be an active participant in Team meetings.
5. Help set and review Team procedures which will assist in the achievement of Team Goals.

Required Education and Experience (必要とされる教育、経験):
University degree or equivalent work experience, 5-7 years direct/indirect agent sales experience in Health Sciences Markets or subscription based sales. Knowledge of online information / publishing industry, library market is desired.
