Job Description
Support Engineer
Summary:
The Support Engineer has primary responsibility for the ongoing support of deployed products being utilized at the customer’s network centers.
Responsibilities
* First Line Technical Support for customers (responsive)
* Manage problem reports issued by customer, including accepting PRs, troubleshooting locally and logging into the Support Management System
* Provide feedback to development group and negotiate response time
Confirm the progress of each case
* Confirmation of fixes locally, delivery to customer and closing of open problem reports
* Delivery of new releases to customers
* Periodic visits to each customer (confirmation of customer use of product, and additional needs)
Required Skills
Preferred Knowledge & Experience
* Domain - Deep understanding of the RF engineering domain, with detailed level skills in network design, planning, optimization. Able to work on customer projects as expert deployed resource in customer projects.
* Domain - Understanding of the IT environment within a customer operation, including support procedures, operational procedures and security policies
* Technical - BS in Computer Science or related discipline
* Technical - At least 3 years of experience with RF Engineering
* Communication - Able to convey ideas and concepts in a concise and clear way (verbally and written). Has sound presentation technique, is experienced in giving technical presentations to small audiences, internally and to customers.
* Customers - Demonstrates an ability to gain the trust and confidence of customers. Is able to quickly gain a position of credibility and authority with customers.
