Job Description
The Mobile Engineer will analyze gaps in features between the customer requirements and our standard products, negotiate solutions and assist in the design of these solutions for custom development.
Duties and Responsibilities:
-This position will provide pre & post sales implementation support, to customer (wireless carriers, solution integrators, as well as various internal projects) activities; these include field trials, training, engineering consultation, deployment, troubleshooting, etc.
-Facilitate Technical design for customer project implementation
-Capture or define technical requirements / Conduct technical workshops
-Coordinate technical meetings with the customer teams for the purpose of delivering a solution that meets customers stated business objectives.
-Own the technical relationship between client and customer, liasing between customer and internal client teams including Operations, Product Management and Engineering to clarify questions and issues
Required Skills
Skill Requirements:
-Go getter , what it takes to get it done attitude
-Ideal candidate would have a strong background in Wireless technology.
-Knowledge of market, practices and procedure in the Wireless industry.
-6-10 years experience in a technical role, including extensive customer facing experience, preferably in Wireless industry.
-Knowledge of requirements analysis, design, development, testing, implementation
-Intermediate to expert level in UNIX (HP-UX, Solaris)
-Shell scripting and/or programming(sh, ksh, csh, PERL, C, C++/Java) experience
-Familiar with TCP/IP, SNMP, HTTP and SSL and great troubleshooting skills
-Pleasant people person, result and detail oriented
-Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills.
-A highly motivated self-starter
-Strong analytical skills
