Job Description
- Assist senior compliance officers with a broad range of regulatory matters, including responding to requests from the Japanese regulators, assisting with regulatory inspections, and other duties
- Prepare and submit various filings with the Japanese regulatory authorities
- Update internal regulations and regulation related documents
- Distribute information regarding publications issued by the Japanese regulatory authorities, such as the FSA, SESE, JSDA
- Personal Information Protection Law (PIPL) matter such as managing PIPL matters, including leakage incident management reporting, coordination of semi-annual self evaluation on PIPL requirements and others
- Assist the Office of the General Counsel team members with compliance related activities on an as needed basis
Required Skills
College degree is preferred
At least 2 - 5 years of experience in the industry
Experience in a securities brokerage firm
A solid understanding of Japanese regulatory requirements
Demonstrate strong communication and presentation skills
Ability to work as part of a team
Capable of building relationships with all levels of management / staff
