Job Description
Optimizing Japan invoicing and collections techniques for vendor returns and vendor sponsored marketing initiatives including volume incentive rebates, co-op agreements, price protection, special promotions allowances, damage allowance and vendor product returns.
Partnering with the business to scope and implement accounts receivable and accounts payable solutions for emerging business areas
Identifying process inefficiencies and working with Global Financial Systems and Operations teams to implement effective solutions
Maintaining monthly and quarterly communication on Japan accounts payable and accounts receivable status with key business partners with specific focus on risk areas and road blocks impacting the performance of the Japan Finance Operations team
Required Skills
B.S. or B.A. in Finance / Accounting
8+ years of financial and/or operational experience
A work ethic based on a strong desire to exceed expectations
Strong internal customer focus
Strong interpersonal skills — including written and oral communication skills
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced and rapidly changing environment
Advanced analytical skills and the ability to get into the details, while also seeing and understanding the big picture
Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines while managing multiple projects
Experience with Oracle Financials is desired
Fluent in Japanese and English languages
