Job Description
Day-to-day support of the Equity trading applications including Order Execution systems, Program Trading Applications (strategy trading application, and off-market crossing engine (exchange)), Position keeping systems, trade reporting and front office booking applications, FIX DMA trading systems. Analysis of incidents. Coordination and management of incidents with regional IT teams. Regular and clear communication to traders of the status of incidents. Resolution and fixing of incidents. Deployment of enhancements/upgrades to existing systems (ownership of deployment is with the support team). Gathering and documenting of new requirements from traders (minor enhancements). Monitoring and checking of production applications (morning checks). Developing ideas to improve the production environment.
Required Skills
Required:
Good technical skills (Windows, Unix, SQL, Excel);
good knowledge of databases, networks & servers;
familiar with trading environments, systems and situations;
good communication skills, fluent English essential.
Useful:
Japanese language skills (conversational);
good programming/debug skills are an advantage: Vb, C++, VC++, C#.
Required: strong analytical skills; excellent communication skills; good problem management skills; must be able to work under pressure.
Should enjoy working in a trading environment. Should be a team player who is able to work with people across different departments, countries and regions.
