Job Description

A leading provider of software systems to the Financial industry seeks a customer-facing engineer to take charge of implementing high-profile projects for top domestic asset managers and global asset managers operating in Japan. You will work closely with our regional offices as well as our other global locations.

Responsibilities
- Implement, test, upgrade and support proprietary trading system for our institutional client base
- Serve as technical lead for implementation of new clients projects from start to finish
- Work with vast ranges of client resources including: traders, project managers, business analysts, administrators and IT managers
- Run through complete technical architecture of our trading system
- Test new implemented/upgraded interfaces and sign off with client
- Manage Our Go-live process
- Work with sales team on new business demonstrations
- Maintain company demonstration kit

Required Skills

Qualifications
- Minimum 3-5 years’ working experience in Japan’s securities (equities) industry either at brokers, asset managers or trading system vendors
- Able to gather client requirements and communicate to team members globally
- Experience in project lead or coordination
- Hands on exposure to either MSSQL, or Oracle and Sybase database environments: Specifically, SQL query writing and query tool connectivity on either MSSQL, Oracle or Sybase Supported Windows server environments
- Experience in troubleshooting network problems: i.e. firewall and routing problems
- Hands on support background with emphasis in financial help desk or customer support (tier 1 or 2) experience

- Must have excellent customer service skills; an ability to communicate well with our clients’ technical support staff & the buy-side traders they support
- Willing to embrace core business values and demonstrate them on a daily basis
- Must be a team player with ability and interest in participating in new projects and helping other departments within the company
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
