Main Purpose of Job
Take a lead role of managing, deploying and consulting Windows Server PC
Environment, including peripheral hardware and software to meet the demands of　projects; managing incidents requiring support with outsource providers.

Primary Responsibilities

General responsibilities:
·Work closely with the Distributed Systems Manager in ensuring that PC/Server engineers are fully utilized in carrying out project task and managing incidents requiring support with outsource providers or other teams in accordance with agreed service levels.

·Work with Technical Center, world transversal initiatives for specific technical area, to provide skilled knowledge and to improve company standardization.

·Work as a project member closely with Project Management Office and Project support team.

·Take a role for the introduction of new Microsoft related technologies, architectures and strategies are implemented according to company standards and procedures with no impact to agreed service levels.

·Take a role for identifying and evaluating technologies that will lead to a reduction in costs or an improvement in service.

·Review Problem Management data regularly to highlight causes of frequent or high impact failures and suggest and Plan preventative action.

·Identify and implement improvements to the way in which distributed systems achieve or improve upon associated service level targets and meet business requirements.

·Exploit the current product set cost-effectively.

·Provide support for the Infrastructure Strategy team in developing a detailed distributed systems strategy.

·Responsible for technical supplier management with third party suppliers.

Windows Server and Workstation:

·Responsible for planning, testing and implementation of Windows Server PC and peripheral software /hardware including upgrades, ensuring change control procedures are followed.

·Responsible for developing and documenting standards and procedures for a11 PC，Server and peripheral hardware/software implementations.

·Responsible for designing and building PC, Server and Peripheral hardware/software configurations in accordance with company standards and Procedures.
·Responsible for providing third tier support when necessary.
·Responsible for performance tuning to ensure agreed service levels are met.
·Trial new PC, Server and peripheral hardware/software solutions.
·Monitor and control third parties working on PC, Server and peripheral hardware/software to ensure agreed service levels are met, and that an effective，quality service is being provided.
·Provide technical consultancy on PC, Server and peripheral hardware/software to the business.

Experience and Technical
·Experienced Windows PC Server engineer with an excellent record in a distributed computer environment (probably over a period of at least 5- 7 years).
·Preferably 3 years experience in a team leader or engineer and 3 years experience in negotiating with technical suppliers.
·Detailed knowledge and understanding of Microsoft technologies that must include: Windows Active Directory, Data backup, structure of Windows access rights, Monitoring, Troubleshooting, Architecture of Windows OS.
·Knowledge of project management tools, such as MS-Project is an advantage.
·Proven ability to understand and utilize new technology.
·Planning: Ability to prioritize work based on business priorities, and to identify and resolve Potential conflicts.
·Communication: Japanese fluency and English conversation skills are an advantage. Ability to clearly and articulately express views and reasons for decisions, to audiences of different technical knowledge and skills. Ability to listen to understand other people’s requirements.
