· ターゲットプロダクトプロファイル(TPP)が日本市場において適切であるか確認する
· 日本における競争力評価に関する情報を作成し、更新する
· グローバルの開発決定のための「トップダウン売上予測」のレビューをする
· マイルストン決定のため「ボトムアップ売上予測」を提示する
· 日本における目標とする効能・効果およびマーケティング・コンセプトを定義する
· 市場で受け入れられる製品デザイン（サイズ、形状、色、包装、印刷等）を調査する
· 上市チームメンバーと協力して、市場への上市プランを作成する
· 川西医薬研究所(KPRI)、医薬開発本部(MDV)、財務本部および事業開発部門の担当者か　らなるEvaluation Team をリードする
· 評価結果に基づいて、プロジェクトを進めるべきかどうかを関係委員会（IPDC あるい　はPMMC）に提案する
· 日本市場におけるパイプラインプロダクトの事業性/市場性のポテンシャルを評価する
· BI の製品ポートフォリオと開発中の製品のポートフォリオとのギャップを評価する
· 評価結果をIPDC あるいはPMMC に報告する
