Job Description
This Six Sigma Black Belt Manager is a newly created position within the organization.With a new company president having joined the Japanese office, this is a great opportunity for this Six Sigma expert to make a huge impact on the business here. Primary missions will include supply chain and general quality issues, as well as assisting with sourcing issues, such as evaluating new product sourcing partners in Asia currently being considered by medical this firm. Other projects will arise on an ad hoc basis not only at the discretion of management, but as well by your own analysis of the local business strategy and your ideas for improvement.
In general, your responsibilities will include:
1)Lead and drive large, Lean Six Sigma projects to deliver significant operational improvement and financial benefit to the firm.
2)Partner with process owners to drive results.
3)Act as a change agent to instill a Six Sigma culture throughout the organization.
4)Monitor performance and improvements on key metrics
The ideal candidate will have prior Six Sigma project experience.
Required Skills
The required skills include:
* A minimum of five years of business /operations experience with at least two years of direct experience as a Black Belt.
* Prior lean black belt project experience.
* Fluent English and Japanese.
* Proficiency in Six Sigma tools and methodologies acquired through formal training and /or direct work experience.
Desirable skills include:
* Basic knowledge of finance and experience managing budget
* MBA
