Responsibilities:

·Prepare and review monthly financial reports; co-ordinate with and report to the local management and US Head Office for all financial and management issues;

·Responsible for the preparation of the annual budget and quarterly forecasts. Monitor the budget by working closely with practice heads. Analyze significant variances from planned or forecasted results in order to provide interpretative comments and recommendations;

·Perform financial analysis on project profitability and costs. Highlight performance issues and prepare reports for management if needed;

·Supervise the subordinates on accounts payable, accounts receivable, credit and collections. Monitor, maintain and review financial records/procedures in compliance with internal control procedures, local regulations and laws;

·Ensure accounting and finance procedures comply with the local and/or US GAAP accounting standards. Act as key contact point for internal and external auditors. Collaborate with auditors in audit requirements;

·Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures and lawful instructions from the supervisor;

·Responsible for tax planning and reporting. Ensure compliance with tax laws and other statutory requirements;

·Liaise with banks for credit card issues;

·Responsible for cash flow management and forecast;

·Responsible for HR functions - recruitment, payroll, provident fund and medical schemes.

Requirements:

·Bachelor Degree (Accounting or Business related);

·CPA a plus;

·Good command of English and Japanese;

·8~10 years solid finance & accounting experience;

·Budgeting knowledge and experience;

·Good understanding of the local tax regulations, eg local accounting and filing requirements for audits and tax returns;

·Background in understanding and establishing good accounting controls;

·Ability to close books and deliver segment financials within a 3 day period each month;

·Strong computer skills (MS Office products especially);

·Understanding of margins (must know transfer pricing);

·Good understanding of the local banking system;

·Understanding of US GAAP, previous experience with a US based company a plus;

·Knowledge of the local labour laws and customs.
