This position is responsible for the development and execution of strategic and operational sourcing plans for specific materials, components and services with a certain focus on electrical Balance of Plant items. Development of international sourcing opportunities to support the cost targets of the Company’s international business strategy is central to the role. Substantial contributions to the improvement of the overall purchasing/supply chain management and the co-ordination of internal and external purchasing activities are expected. Position is meant to develop the successor to the current Head of Purchasing within less than five years. 1.　Develop sourcing strategies to procure materials/services at, or below market level prices / SFC cost expectations while staying within quality and lead-time parameters 2.　Specifically to develop international supply structures matching the increasing need for local / low cost sourcing in international (and domestic) projects and to maintain related supplier relations (highly international function). 3.　Negotiate with suppliers on technical and commercial issues. 4.　Actively contribute to short and long-term objectives of the overall supply chain management with respect to continuous improvements in purchasing processes, logistics, reduction of process cost, systems applications etc.. 5.　Provide / co-ordinate internally and externally international material price forecasts and provide direction to the Project Management and Design Engineering. 6.　Lead an effective negotiation process for external and internal information gathering and analysis; assessment for supplier agreement opportunities; negotiation preparation and execution; and agreement management to maximize benefits. 7.　Develop and implement purchasing and contract management instructions, policies and procedures. Maintain administrative records appropriate for the value of the purchases and in support of both the Quality and Accounting departments. 8.　Coordinate and leverage opportunities with other Group companies and corporate Strategic Sourcing. Principal Working Relationships: 1.　Sales and Marketing: Support proposal activities by providing price information and purchasing strategy 2.　Project Management: Interact with Project Management on a regular basis to support specific project initiatives relative to purchase of material/services. Ensure availability of material, components, and services as per project needs. 3.　Design Engineering: Provide guidance to Engineering personnel on buying decisions and all related supply chain matters. 4.　Suppliers: Develop long-term preferred supplier relationships and/or low-cost suppliers both in domestic and international markets 5.　Group Purchasing Council: Support Group purchasing initiatives and provide timely feedback on purchasing / material issues. Co-ordinate with other Operating Units and utilize the global purchasing network and resources of the Group.

*Be part of division sales team in Japan and conduct sales activities with new sciences product portfolios through key contacts (different levels of accounts) with distributors & customers, conduct market surveys, planning and maintaining current business. *Manage product sales potential and growth, individual sales effectiveness and account base by reviewing sales activity schedules and strategies. *Market analysis and development for pharmaceutical and biotechnology applications and business. *Managing and driving agents/distributors for growth.
