They are currently looking for an IT Manager (Distribution), who will play a key role in the ongoing success of the organization. 

GENERAL SUMMARY: 

This is a key operational position with responsibility for Warehouse Management System (WMS) optimization of the Japanese Distribution Center (JDC). Developing strong working relationships at JDC with JDC team, 3PL and the US IT team, to ensure that daily warehouse operation is being kept as projected capacity for both of inbound/outbound will be the priority.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES &amp; RESPONSIBILITIES:

-Work with JDC team to support daily WH operation and future capability optimization. 

-Work for WMS issues and failures with coordinating communications both of 3PL IT team and US IT in between to support DC operation. 

-Understand the WMS structure, EDI interfaces and physical operational equipments (barcode label printer, material handling computer, sorter and RF guns) of DC to make sure impact on the issue or failure of those components. 

-Build strong relationship with 3PL IT for WMS operational responsibility as a single point of contact at JDC for any system issue and requirement. 

-Provide leadership, direction support from Japan for a global system operation and cooperate activities with US IT to contribute successful implementation. 

-Develop strong and trusting relationships with business, IT partners and US counterpart at many levels of the organization 

-Manage DC related applications to make sure the system landscape of supply chain with understanding of interfaces between the external applications if required. 

-Understand risks, issues, opportunities and requirements of WMS and related applications to support strategic optimization planning for JDC which is led by JDC director. 

-Provide regular status updates to Japan IT Director, both in oral and written manner.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

-5+ years IT project management experience on mid - large project 

-3+ years WMS support experience

-Utilization of project management skills and tools 

-BS/BA degree, or equivalent work experience 

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

-Knowledge of various information technologies and methodologies

-POS / Retail System experience is absolute plus 

-Business processes and functions for consuming goods industry is plus
