This position includes responsibilities of a network engineer with a focus on the configuration and deployment of enterprise network solutions. The individual will be responsible for developing functional understanding and proficiency with corporate network standards and service offerings as well as emerging technologies. The position will focus on engineering support of network technologies including: LAN, WAN, Voice over IP and data network security. The individual will participate strategically in project teams throughout the engineering technology life cycle including Planning, Design and Implementation of new technology solutions into the network. Furthermore, the candidate will participate in the development and enhancement of network service offerings through involvement with the network engineering design and review process. A. JOB PURPOSE The Technical Manager (TM) shall be the 24hr ECO (Emergency Call Out) coverage of all customers with ECO contracts. (Eltek self covered ECO is normally for large site installations in and around the Tokyo metropolitan area and not for an entire network spanning the whole of Japan. He/she shall be responsible to be on site within the predefined ‘response time’ (detailed in each customer ECO contract) and to carry out diagnostics in order to clear any system alarms and return the systems to normal. B. JOB CONTENT/RESPONSIBILITY o Prepare RMA (Return Material Authorization) planning of equipment requiring repairs o Basic local modification of systems as and when required (such as fitting of output load MCBs etc). o Ensure effective and precise response to all emergency calls. o Keep her/himself informed on activities within the assigned jobs o Preparation of equipment demonstrations and presentations at customer meetings. o Technical liaison with customer site engineers for power solution proposals. o To provide 24hr support of emergency call-out to site within Tokyo region (normally Max. of only 2 or 3 times per year). o To prepare project costing to outsource to a 3rd party in the case of ECO coverage of a whole network. o To project manage site installations between the customers and installation sub-contractors. o Prepare customer system training course preparation and instruction o Technical translation of Eltek equipment specification and test data from English into Japanese as may be necessary for time to time.

Reporting to Senior Solution Architect and Japan president Key Accountabilities ・Provide Technology project and design support to sales team working to provide best in class solutions to Key Accounts ・Provide input to the development and maintenance of the companys’ Solution and standards. ・Work with Technology teams including networks and applications solution providers. ・Influence the designs for GSM, 3G, WLAN, IP in order to help sales teams meet and exceed company targets. ・Present end to end recommended Architectures to customers in sales presentations. ・Provide documentation on project progress and technical information to internal teams in development and professional services in order to manage hand over of customer projects. ・Demonstrate leadership in the end to end design of winning solutions architecture from start of sales process through to project delivery.
