ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Supervise and participate in the construction, installation, modification, maintenance and repair of electrical appliances, systems, facilities and related electronic controls and devices by interpreting blueprints, manufacturers’ specifications, written and verbal instructions. Plan and schedule work ensuring proper distribution of assignments and adequate outsourced staffing.

Assist in the establishment of preventive maintenance programs for the corporation electrical systems and facilities. 

Prepare reports and analyses setting forth progress, adverse trends and appropriate recommendations or conclusions. 

Perform other related duties incidental to the work described herein. </div>

&amp;middot;Ensure that conference topics and programme themes are researched and developed to meet the quality standards. 
&amp;middot;Recruit a senior level speaker faculty as appropriate for the event, including both Japanese corporations and MNCs.
&amp;middot;Work closely with and support sponsorship sales team to generate ideas and sponsorship proposals to ensure that all events and programmes (whether custom or budgeted) are well sponsored with sponsorship benefits that are deliverable.
&amp;middot;Work with editorial and sponsorship sales team to develop custom programmes and new meeting formats, which are integrated and may feature white papers, surveys and on-line components.
&amp;middot;Coordinate programming and promotional timelines with marketing team. 
&amp;middot;Coordinate operational timelines with operations team.
&amp;middot;Negotiate and manage outside suppliers as required for projects in Japan.
&amp;middot;Working with marketing and operations, develop and maintain a budget and project Tracker for each event.
&amp;middot;Project manage events and programmes in Japan. As project manager, take lead responsibility for managing sponsors and stakeholders to ensure all events are produced on budget and to schedule. 
Key accountabilities 
&amp;middot;Working with the Conference Director to develop a sustainable meetings business in Japan.
&amp;middot;Operating within the annual budget for the Asia-Pacific business and working closely with sales and marketing to improve the contribution and margin of conference events.
&amp;middot;Identifying new conference topics and formats for events, together with new business models, which span the wider Unit/Group business.
&amp;middot;Managing, developing and researching programmes to attract and recruit a top-level faculty of speakers and audience.
&amp;middot;Working with the operations manager on the speaker logistics around all events, ensuring quality is maintained and costs kept to budget. 
&amp;middot;Meeting production deadlines for all events.

&amp;middot;Managing events and programmes in Japan. 
&amp;middot;Integral in the determination of annual portfolio of events and topics in Japan.
&amp;middot;Relationships with editorial and sales teams in Asia for the chairing and development of new programmes and events. 
Performance measures
&amp;middot;Meeting the production schedules and profitability of Asia-Pacific’s conference business. 
&amp;middot;Managing conference projects according to plan.
&amp;middot;Programme quality and quality of the speaker faculty.
&amp;middot;Feedback from delegates and sponsors on quality of events - feedback forms. 
&amp;middot;Interaction with other regions for transfer of ideas.
&amp;middot;New idea generation - new events, partnerships etc.</div>
